Button Madness
Game
This is another famous puzzle game. it is a
very simple one. The basic setup is like
this...
Every button you click
toggles itself, and also the four
surrounding ones. The idea is to bring all
the buttons down. This is not easy! note
that if only one button remains. It is still
not easy to toggle it! because if you click
it, the other 4 surrounding it will pop up!!
For the Solo mode, There
are 8 variations of the game. Here we
quickly describe each one.
1.
Level One:
The easiest. a 3*3
square. There is no wrapping (if you click a
button on the edge, nothing happens to the
button from the other side). You can't click
on a button that is currently down! You can
only click on the buttons that are up.
2.
Level Two:
Still easy: a 4*4 square. Same rules as
above! This is really easy
3.
Level Three:
The classical one: a 4*4
squares. Wrapping is on! If you click a
button on the edge, the button from the
other side also toggles. This is a little
harder than the previous one.
4.
Level Four:
A hard one! a 5*5
square. The rules are similar to number one!
There is no wrapping. You can't click on the
down buttons. This is a classical one,
featured in the SNES Super Mario RPG game.
(near the end of the game)
5.
Level Five:
Getting tricky: A 4*4
one, there are now, white buttons, and black
buttons, you have to put the black buttons
down, and the white ones up. Wrapping is
on, and you can also toggle the down
buttons.
6.
Level Six:
A 4*4 one. But it does
not start from all buttons up. Some buttons
are up, and some buttons are down. You have
to put them all down. Wrapping is on,
and you can also toggle the down buttons.
7.
Level Seven:
a combination of
number 6 and number 5. It starts scrambled,
and also there are some white buttons. You
have to put the black ones down, and the
white ones up.
8.
Level Eight:
The hardest. Similar
to 7, but you can't click on the
buttons which are down. You can only click
on the buttons currently in the up state!
The battle mode is quite
different. You play against a friend or
against the computer. You are give 15 moves.
You have to put as many buttons down as you
can. Wrapping is on.
Occasionally a question
mark appears, if clicked, it can cause all
kinds of strange stuff. Like causing skulls
to appear (Skulls can not be pressed!), or
causing stars to appear (stars don't affect
the surrounding buttons, when pressed), or
exchanging boards, and so on...
